How well do we influence others? Peter told those undergoing persecution that their trials could provide them with a tremendous opportunity to positively influence the unbelievers all around them. He told them to guard their behavior and public conduct so those unbelievers would observe their good deeds and reverse their slander of them—and perhaps become converts to Christianity themselves.
Dr. Stanley tells us it’s not enough to use our godly lives for ministry but that we must use our influence in our local community and beyond. He says we should live so that others will look at us and want to know the God who has transformed us.
