Guilt & Forgiveness
In our culture, guilt is seen as a bad thing. We try to smother it, ignore it, excuse it, banish it, anything but face it head on. Still, no matter how hard we try to suppress those painful feelings of conviction, they never really seem to go away. On this edition of Focal Point, Mike Fabarez looks at God’s model for dealing with guilt. In Psalm 32, we find a biblical perspective on remorse and how we can experience real and lasting grace.Every believer occasionally struggles with doubt over their salvation. This is born out of guilt and discouragement of their sin they believe is too big or egregious for God to forgive.
This can lead Christians to underestimate or disbelieve the complete sacrifice for sin accomplished on the cross. Want to understand God's complete forgiveness and wiping away of sin?
